Be careful how you treat your friends
Stand by them in joy or sorrow
For the friend that needs you today
May be the one you need tomorrow
Just because you're high on a mountain
And the view from there is clear
Doesn't mean that tomorrow you won't be
Way down deep in the valley of fear
That is when you need your friends
Those who love you as you are
That's what friendship's all about
It's very special be it near or far
So love your friends no matter what
If they need a smile let them borrow
For the friend that needs you today
